Jan De Blauwe

The Cyber Security Coalition unites cyber security peers from public authorities, private companies and academic institutions; it provides the national collaboration platform where peers meet and join forces to fight cybercrime.
Jan De Blauwe is responsible for cyber security, business continuity, data protection and privacy, and physical security within BNP Paribas Fortis. This role includes the definition and execution of strategy; management of the bank’s central security team; delivery of various security services and of its cyber risk management system; and reporting to governance and stakeholders. Jan is chairman of Secursys, the Febelfin committee responsible for cyber security, and of the Belgian Cyber Security Coalition. Prior to joining BNP Paribas in 2007, he was VP of corporate accounts at Ubizen/Cybertrust (now part of Verizon Business). He holds a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Leuven, and an MBA from New York University.
