This talks looks at the major trends in information technology and their impact on security and privacy: this include the Internet of Things, Big Data and the shift towards cloud architectures. While society is becoming more and more critically dependent on digital technologies, governments are exploiting them for mass surveillance and citizens fear an erosion of their rights to privacy.
