Mari-Liis Orav

Lawyer, PwC Legal (Tallinn)

Mari-Liis is an attorney at PwC Legal in Estonia. Mari-Liis specialises mainly in data protection, intellectual property and IT law. She both consults companies in their everyday business and regulatory matters, as well as represents them in disputes in the relevant areas. She is currently actively engaged in preparing clients comprehensively for the GDPR.

Mari-Liis is a member of the StarAudit Legal Advisory Board and has contributed to the development of the Cloud Privacy Check (CPC) tool for cloud service users. Mari-Liis also lectures on legal aspects of ICT in the University of Tartu. 

Prior to joining PwC Legal, Mari-Liis worked in law firm GLIMSTEDT and dealt with data protection matters in the Global Technology, Outsourcing and Privacy practice group of Hunton & Williams LLP and at the European Data Protection Supervisor in Brussels. Mari-Liis holds a LLM in European Law from the University of Groningen.
