Microsoft Office Enterprise version as used at EU institutions may conflict with the GDPR.

The EU data protection authority EDPS is investigating whether the contracts of EU agencies with Microsoft conform to new data protection rules that came into force late 2018 as a result of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The authority responsible for monitoring and enforcing data protection within the European Union announced its investigation on Monday in Brussels, pointing to an assessment published by the Dutch Ministry of Justice in November 2018.
